How We Raise Funds to Support Our Efforts
Lions serve. It’s that simple. In order to serve, we need to raise support and funds from the community, both from the business community, as well as individuals who believe and support our cause. It is through this generosity that we able to continue our efforts in the community.
100% of every dollar we raise through our fundraisers goes back to our community. The administrative cost of our club is financed through the dues that each Lions member pays.
Our Fundraising Events:
Drive "Fore" Sight
Al Ripp and Jim Teff Memorial Golf Outing
Held in Late May or Early June this is one of our major annual fundraisers. With opportunities for Event Sponsorships, Various Hole Sponsors, Dinner and Beverage Sponsors, as well as players fees, silent auctions and raffle donations, the event has plenty of opportunities for involvement to support our efforts.
Over the years this event has a popular social event for many and with the support of our ongoing sponsor support has continued to be our major fundraiser for the Middleton Lions Club.
Middleton Good Neighbor Festival
On the last full weekend in August the annual Middleton Good Neighbor Festival is a community tradition. With amusement rides, food tents, music tents, and an art fair featuring local artists. The Middleton Lions Club involvement has varied over the years with support of food tents and the art fair.
This is a great community event and the Lions Club is happy to be part of it.
Mints and Gumball Sales
Yes, we really do have ongoing sales of our popular mints and gumballs at various locations in the community. While small contributions, every purchase of our delicious treats contribute to our efforts to support our causes. So the next time you see one of our displays, consider helping out and buy more than one.
50-50 Raffles
At various events throughout the year our loyal members will help facilitate 50-50 raffles where, as the participant, you have the chance to win 50% of the amount of that event raffle. With amounts that vary on the event, its an opportunity to win a little extra than you contribute. Of course, you can alway donate the entire amount if you want as well!
